512 There was an Eliza Birch present at Joseph's death. She was living at 6 Gt Hampton St and is recorded on the 1851 Census (1851 Census Birch Eliza). She must have been married to a Birch unless she has reverted to her maiden name. She is not Benjamin's wife, (Joseph's brother Benjamin) as Benjamin married Lucy Walker in 1841 and Benjamin appears to have died in 1848. Lucy Walker is recorded on the 1851 census as a dyer and is living at 217 Bristol Street. She is a widow living with her son, George Thomas Walker, (1851 Census Birch, Lucy). Benjamin is listed as a dyer in the Slater 1846 directrory as living at this address.
Eliza was also present at Benjamin's death 1848

517 Thomas Buckley (known as blind uncle Tom) (born 1870 in Birmingham) lost his sight later in life.
Rumoured: went to see a Villa match at Villa Park - sight ok, came out and could not see. Sold newspapers on a street corner after going blind. Always referred to as being quite brainy. Lived in Inkerman Street, Aston with his mother Mary Elizabeth (Hassip/Moore/Buckley) = Ladds until 1921 when she was burnt to death in a house fire. He then married Ann Elizabeth Powell in Aston: Reg. September Q. 1922 6d 1218.
